This is the first time we've had a bed bug problem. We were told these covers would solve the problem, but they have downsides. Despite all the technology used to protect against insects near lightning, they forgot one thing. Every little hole makes it completely pointless to have a lid. The material is very thin. I've had to replace several of these sheets throughout the house because they have small holes where the mattress meets the bed frame. The usual getting up and going to bed and tossing and turning throughout the night is enough to make a hole in a few months. You need to reinforce the floor where it touches the frame. They've put enough technology into the product to justify the cost, but left this tremendous problem unsolved so you can keep buying more. Regarding bed bug issues, this product is more of a scam. It can't be that the manufacturer wasn't aware of this banal glitch. Typical 21st century design, not built to last. The material just doesn't stand up to everyday wear and tear.
