I've just had my second baby in a row and I knew it was important to wear a belt this time. I waited a week before using it because you know the first week is a bathroom every hour and I couldn't take it off and put it on every time and didn't want to use the bottom opening. Also I would go for the size below, with all the water weight for the first week I still couldn't wear it. It's a bit difficult as with any belt and on my first try I thought no it's too small but no I put it on and wow it took everything away and I could still breathe and actually felt very comfortable . I've used shoulder straps and it doesn't move at all. The only complaint that isn't the belt is that it's so silky my jeans and yoga pants are starting to slip! I'm 5ft 0" and my baby is currently 160lbs and I can go back to my old size 6 navy blue jeans without the cupcake top. I bought a big one.
