I need to use HDMI to connect to PC to watch BluRay discs. This requires an HDMI connection. Not DWI. Unfortunately, the monitor insists on sharpening the HDMI input and also falsifies the colors into a bluish tint. So I read that I can assign the HDMI input as "PC". Unfortunately, this reduces the brightness to around 50%. Impossible to set the picture to normal. And even if I use the HDMI input to connect to a Blu-ray player, what do I need the extra sharpness for? If it's a grainy film, that dumb sharpness only adds to the graininess. Even if it's set to 0, it won't go away. Even disabled in the menu, it does not disappear. There is a firmware update for the European version of this monitor. But I don't know if that fixes the problem, and it doesn't boot into the US version anyway.
