My son is a huge Mario fan so we bought him this set when he started kindergarten in August. One of the zippers on the large compartments broke a few months ago, and the mesh side pockets are ripped open because they only hold a water bottle or snack bag. The little balloon accessory broke within the first week and the water bottle was so awful it wasn't even an option. The lunch box is adorable but too small for its bento box so it hasn't been used much so I can't vouch for its durability. However, the character pictures are great and the straps help a lot so my son is still delighted with his backpack.
