I've tried all the usual colors and finishes, they work great except white or quick drying and it wasn't easy to work with. I haven't tried the colors in the collection yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I have many secret Mia products and love them all and for a beginner you can't go wrong and the price is perfect for me.
