Review on 🎧 Phaiser BHS-530: Wireless Bluetooth Headphones for Running and Workouts, Sweatproof Earphones with Mic, Blackout by Joe Patterson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Well built and well engineered

As with many electronic "consumables," roll the dice on whether you're buying a quality product backed by a quality company, or a piece of junk that's ripped off a Chinese factory line and fails will be sent within a few days or receipt. For me, I just wanted a pair of headphones that would stay on my head and stand up to my workouts. Nothing special. Simply durable. I'm happy to report that the BHS-530 seems to have handled the durability aspect fairly well, offering some user-friendly features that changed my personal opinion of "hope I'm not wasting my money". from "I feel like I got what I paid for" to "I got a pretty good deal" in the last few months. Pros: Battery life since purchase (received about five months ago) is consistently 9-12 hours between charges. Charging takes one to two hours with a regular micro USB cable. The controls are intuitive and it takes no more than a few seconds for the Bluetooth transmitter to connect to my phone or watch. The design is ergonomic and balanced. Sometimes I have to adjust while running, but I never felt the earbuds fall out or fall off. They roll up well for travel and have survived the daily knocks in my briefcase when I go to work. I particularly like their ability to take calls - again very reliable when I press the button (unlike previous pairs). Now, in the midst of a pandemic, I'm using them for conference calls more than I ever thought I would when I bought them. Cons: Soft ear pads can sometimes pop out if left loose in a pocket. It's up to me I now have a small bag of spares in case I lose them. Also, for music, the sound quality is likely to be a 6/10 or 7/10. Totally normal if you're running or smashing a bunch of iron, but definitely not good enough for those who consider themselves audiophiles. If you're traveling around town listening to a podcast or audio book these are perfect. Overall, I believe they are worth more than I paid for them. I even bought a second pair when the price last dropped so I have a backup if/when I lose them for good. :)
