This notebook is of excellent quality. This is for people who want a single area for their mouse and "game" across the entire surface of their desktop. My table is solid wood of very good quality (very heavy) but the top needs updating. This, combined with a penchant for "extra large" mouse pads (I'm a low-sensitivity user), means this is one of the best mouse pads I've come across. They might not be as smooth and slick as some of the smaller pads (like the Puretrak), but they're about as close as it gets, especially considering the form factor. The price is no laughing matter and I bought it because it was way cheaper than other pads of the same size. Definitely worth buying. Just be careful not to use sharp objects or heat (I'm definitely guilty of that) near the pad or you could ruin the top of it. This is a LARGE pillow so chances are it will get scratched, chafed, soiled or burned somewhere if you are the type of person who does such things at your desk on a regular basis. I've scratched mine in a few spots, but as long as your main mouse area is fine and nothing abnormal is rubbing your forearm, it's not a problem at all.
