When I was looking for a wine rack I wanted something that could be assembled and then hung, knowing this and wine bottles are heavy I expected to find a nail to fasten it to the wall hang. When the package arrived I opened it to find out you do NOT collect this THEN hang it up. You must attach each vertical plank to the wall with drywall screws, three in each plank, for a total of 6 holes in the wall. AFTER the vertical bars are hung (I hope they are straight and in the right position as you have already drilled 6 very large holes in the drywall) screw on the cross braces and trim hinges. I say "supported" because they don't support anything at the moment, they're just for aesthetics. If you get it right on the first try and like the look, hopefully you intend to leave it there forever, otherwise you'll end up with 6 very large drywall holes. Finally 8 can't comment on how reliable it was or how well it worked because it wasn't what I thought I was ordering so I never hung it up.
