To be honest, I was very surprised by the negative reviews about this mascara. I'm a bit of a mascara snob. I have always preferred high end products like Estee Lauder or even Clinique. As a last resort, I might go with L'Oreal or something. But I've never liked "cheap" mascara. Or any makeup for that matter. But this one is different. I don't really like the brush but the mascara is great. It makes my short lashes thick and long. It doesn't seem to stick together and I haven't noticed any smearing or melting on my face. I applied it in Oklahoma in the middle of summer when the humidity was melting everything else on my face but not mascara. I like that the waterproof film lasts all day. I can't talk about non-waterproof that lasts all day because knowing I'm going to need it for the rest of my life I always choose waterproof. Other than that, I have no issues with the non-waterproof stand. To be honest, this is one of the best mascaras I've tried in a long time. While I like the Estee Lauder mascara better, it doesn't compare to how this mascara lengthens my short lashes and lasts all day. And for only $8.99 for two mascaras, I can't complain at all. Do yourself a favour: try it. At this low price you have nothing to lose.
