Mine has a slightly higher profile due to the RTX 2070 graphics card - most likely just the bigger rubber feet on the case for airflow. . Minimalist and perfect fit on all sides and sizes. Not too comfortable. Not too loose. Protective hard EVA. Adequate but thin padding. Protected around edges and corners with subtle padding. Inside is a thin holding sleeve which I didn't use because it wouldn't fit; However, the locking sleeve is very thin and does not remove the volume in this case. Ideal for a small number of documents. I hunted for hours. I've tried 2 other solutions with no success. It's not much bigger than your laptop; therefore ideal as a protective cover in your main laptop bag, backpack or suitcase; without the huge amount of wasted space in the case. I don't write many reviews, but I wanted to save you from "guessing" if your Dell G5 15 5500 gaming laptop will work. And it's nice! The YKK zipper is a plus. It's not necessary, but I always lightly grease the zippers and techports. (Chap stick works in a pinch)
