Okay, I've had this item for about a month now and I really can't get over how good it sounds. I switched from 50 watts in my living room as we wanted to use 50 watts in the guest room. I bought this one as I was curious how the 80w would work and my friend has a smaller version of this and has had it for a year now. He recommended this to me. I am absolutely shocked. I would say it's big. The latter fit on the floor under the TV cabinet. It's not like this. We reserve it until we can install the TV and speaker. In any case, the bass is okay, the mids are clean and beautiful and the highs are reproduced very well. I'll say it sounds even better than my outdoor 100 watt Ion speaker. It's actually quite well done, to be honest. The only drawback is the lack of a volume indicator. I had another guy not tell you and I was annoyed. This one is better. The other speaker that did this showed no signs of increasing or decreasing in volume. This flashes. It's better than nothing, but I really prefer a more visual indicator like a bar or number. Also, we use it through an optical cable, not the one that comes with the kit. I bought the base from Amazon because the one with it is tiny and ridiculously thin. Although I definitely recommend it for the sound. Great price, I think I bought it for less than $80 with coupon.
