Compared to the original charger for my Surface Pro 4, the cable is about an inch shorter: half an inch shorter at both ends of the charging case. Not so hot what's up. My biggest disappointment is that the magnet holding it in place is much weaker than the original, making it too easy to fall out of the charge port on surfaces. Even the smallest tow tractor can pull the plug so that it is only partially plugged into the device connection and is no longer charged. Externally, this charger is almost identical to the original. The charging block feels a little heavier than the original and the connector is much lighter. The thickness of the cord is about the same, although this cord is textured and the original is smooth. My device seems to be charging fine when I make sure the connector is fully inserted. I just want it to stay
