We recently went on a 7 day vacation and were worried about feeding our two large goldfish and this one is simple and easy to use. Insputer's automatic feeder solved our problem perfectly and reliably fed our goldfish throughout our trip. USE / DESIGN - The feeder is one of the simpler types of feeders. It has no LCD displays, complicated timers, etc. All it has is a full body power/timer button and three hidden LED indicators that show the feeding schedule. You can only set three feeding timers: once, twice or thrice a day. Day . as indicated by its 3 LED indicators. The timer works on a simple schedule, meaning if you feed once a day, a 24 hour timer will start from the moment you first activate the mode, likewise twice a day. it counts down 12 hours from first activation etc. - Has a large feed barrel that can hold a lot of feed and a sliding window to adjust the amount of feed. You can also remove the sliding tab to reveal an even larger hole for a larger chopstick. The operation/rotation of the feeder tube is silent. The large width of the light makes it easy to attach to the plastic edging/frame of the aquarium. RECOMMENDATION. We strongly recommend using the feeder before you go fishing on vacation. I did a test run over a plastic tank for at least three days to make sure I had the feed door installed to consistently dispense the exact amount I wanted for my fish. I had to make several adjustments to the size of the hole before I was completely happy. You have a choice of simple 24-hour, 12-hour, or 8-hour timers. FINAL THOUGHTS Overall If you are looking for a simple, convenient, and reliable pet feeder at an affordable price, then this pet feeder is for you. Just note that there are simple 24, 12 and 8 hour timers instead of exact feeding times.
