First 2 out of 3 cables failed, the first in 1 week, the 2nd in 3 months. They were used in a small office conference room and connected 3-4 times a day. The plan was always to install a sacrificial extension, but it wasn't ready yet and we wanted to use a brand new 4K projector. Too bad about us, the cable died quickly because it was plugged in again and again. "Regular" cables lasted a year or more for reference, so that was surprising, but not a deal breaker. The second was attached to an extension under the table, but it still flexed a little when the extension cord moved, and it eventually failed as well. I work regularly with cable discharge and movement for my job and would give our maintenance engineer a 2 which is clearly not good enough for this application. I bought more when I noticed the 6 year warranty on the picture. No one has a 6 year cable warranty and no one will be there to honor it, but I figured a quick email wouldn't hurt. After 15 minutes they sent me 2 replacement units! I have never had such a painless experience dealing with my share of defective or broken products. Lesson learned: These things are pretty fragile, and the following units plug into a desktop power outlet. I've already bought 2 more for other rooms (including one of the 'professional' units) and hope they last. If you haven't seen the directional notice yet, you've been warned. Our service technician didn't notice and had to redo the cables.
