I had uncomfortable calf pain while running. Turns out I needed new shoes, but these helped. With new shoes, my calves are firm and comfortable. I wear them at night when running because of the reflective stripes. comfortable), but the longer I wore them, the better they felt. I really enjoy running with them and they really help when I'm trying to add more miles to my regular runs. When I need them late on a run they are really easy to put on and just tighten around my ankles until I need to tighten them or alternatively curl up mid run. Will definitely be wearing them to races! I also received a grey/silver one and they are as pictured. I don't know how other colors perform on hot summer runs, but these suit me.
