Gives a soft shine without being heavy

I was intrigued by Helen Mirren's ad for this product and I'm a skincare geek so bought it. About me: I'm not as fair as Helen Mirren and although I'm in my 60's I don't have very dry skin. So many skin products designed for "mature women" are loaded with so much oil and heavy emollients that they make me break out and/or get milia. This cream is different. It's kind of "dry" but also softening - not greasy at all. I had no problems applying it and tried not to use too much. It made my skin very soft. The scent is pleasant, unobtrusive, at least in my opinion. I have to say it gives me a subtle glow with a hint of pink. When I *really* approach the bathroom mirror under the light, I see what appear to be tiny reflective particles. They, I think, cause "glow". It's not shiny; it's subtle. I think it shouldn't be used around the eyes because of the smell; I used an unscented eye cream. Do I look like Dame Helen? If! But this cream leaves my skin very soft without feeling greasy and gives me a slight glow. After a long gray winter, that's very nice! Time will tell if this is the "holy grail" product, but so far I like it.
