I didn't know backlit monitors existed until I saw an ad for a Benq screen. It caught my attention, but the price was prohibitive for me. I stumbled across this product which seems similar to other monitor lights here at Revain and thought I'd give it a try. A few days a week I work remotely on my MacBook Pro with a Benq monitor on a monitor stand and it doesn't create any glare - it just brightens the room. It might not have all the bells and whistles (like the ambient light sensor), but it seems bright enough that I was pleasantly surprised given the price. But as another reviewer pointed out, the length of the light control cable is a bit short and mine dangles from the monitor stand. Otherwise it worked fine for me.
