I ordered it for my 2.5 year old daughter. They are really big on your hands. I tried them on my 6 year old son and they are still quite large for him. I would order this one size smaller. I like metallic silver as it's more gender neutral. With its silver shimmer, it reminds me of an astronaut suit. The silver material is very thin and can break easily. The outside of the palms is covered with a rubber material that ensures a good grip of the mittens. The outer part of the mittens is waterproof and keeps your hands dry. There is a velcro strap on the top of the wrist to pull it around the wrist. There's also a large amount of stretch cotton material that extends beyond the gray shell for cold/snow protection. The mittens have a clip to hold them together so they don't get lost easily. Inside is a very soft fleece material that makes the mittens warm and comfortable. I would recommend them for warmth, just be aware they can be a bit large.
