How this product works. Yes. Installation is easy enough, but my first try was confusing as I couldn't find 5th gear. Remembering other reviews from people who didn't find them first, I realized I might need to reconfigure the Stock Right Shift Blocker. After reconfiguring the left and right shift locks, the car shifted perfectly into all gears. So as long as you're careful and make sure everything is in the right place, this will work great. I see no reason to use a well known brand, if you can get this and it works, just search. My only complaint is that it came with no instructions, which isn't a problem for me but might be a problem for others. If you get stuck, go to YouTube and find the people installing Perrin's switch stop.
