It's really amazing, I've used it many times. I haven't used a more expensive branded model, but I can't imagine it getting any better than this block. Pros: Water boils very quickly. Packs into itself very neatly, including a gas bottle (assuming you buy a small canister, of course) Electric spark ignition Save a few bucks on a big name brand. I went camping in my car and took this kettle with me as well as my big double boiler and actually I still use this little guy to boil water for coffee because it's so fast.
