Very compact for all small to medium sized items that fit in tiny compartments. There's a TON of zippered pockets for wired USB, cameras, phones and of course an iPad. Definitely recommended for people who just need a bag for lunch, hiking or carrying extra gear. But here's a small downside: the mesh pocket or water bottle compartment is too small for my black water bottle, a regular plastic bottle is fine (sort of) but not refillable unless you find a thinner and more durable one. I couldn't risk using it on a hook if I wanted someone to pull on it. Maybe I can fit it in, it will be a bit difficult to make room but I'll try.
