I have been sewing suits and clothes by hand for many years because I am stubborn and don't like change. Buying a sewing machine was frankly stressful for me as I bought it once and couldn't figure out how to thread it to keep it from unraveling. I didn't have much space either. After we bought a new house, I asked my husband if I could sew for Mother's Day. I have space for a craft table/room in the barn and would love to return there. I chose this one for its portability/12 stitches and good reviews. The variety of stitches is important to me because I sew very well, but I can't do anything extraordinary - in order to learn something new, you have to offer me something that I don't already have. I am very thankful for the detailed instructional video accompanying this item which gave me confidence that I could do it. I slowly start on a few pieces of clothing with holes or small alterations. I'm also getting married in the fall, so changing my own dress already offsets the price of this car!
