This is by far the best phone mount I have ever used. The magnets are VERY strong and I have never detached my phone from the holder. Tip: Use a cheap phone case and stick a magnet on it. Even change your cases when you ride and go back to your favorite case when you're done driving. The magnets will NOT come off - whatever you attach this magnet to, it will stay in place for life! (In my experience.) The only issue I had was that some of the vents are at odd angles - in my old car I had to put it on the vent next to the stereo. So he covered a bit of it but didn't get too involved. In my new car, the air vent is slightly tilted so the phone doesn't stand fully upright. But even that doesn't cause any problems with the magnet or the mount.
