Review on 🚿 Emerson CK5859 Waterproof Shower Radio with Clock (Discontinued by Manufacturer) by Phil Oliveira

Here is my experience with it. Batteries - a screwdriver is required to open the battery compartment. It's ok, but the screws require a regular screwdriver that's over a millimeter wide, so it's difficult to use a screwdriver, hand, or anything else. Volume control - you can turn forever. There is no stopping. Sometimes turning the knob would change the volume, sometimes not. From time to time it would "grab" and the volume would change if I turned it, but usually I could turn it and nothing happened. After about 3 turns per direction (no kidding) it stopped working at all. On/Off Button - This radio has a feature that allows you to program the switch off time. For example, it turns off after 15 minutes. The problem is that you MUST program it to turn it on. So. To turn on this radio you have to press TIME - enter the minutes and then press START. 3 buttons to turn on. Setting - I tried setting it to 102.9, I found a channel there but it was 97.3. That's how far apart the markings on the tuner were. Although the sound was good. So it never reached my soul. The volume dropped when it was too quiet to hear and I couldn't turn it back on. So after a day I came across a PITA battery case, I had to take the batteries out and throw them in the trash. Terrible design, terrible quality control. It's rare to find a product that is genuinely shocked that someone has sold it. If I bought this from a street vendor in China for $2, it would at least be worth a laugh. At least it was a gift and didn't cost me anything.
