Review on ๐Ÿ”’ BOSTITCH inPRESS 20 Reduced Effort Three-Hole Punch (Silver/Black) - Efficient and Reliable by Carla Anderson

Can't punch the same holes.

This hole punch was completely useless for me for two reasons. First, the paper stop is up, not down. When I bought it I just thought it was different and I'll get used to it. I didn't know at the time that there were so many sheets of paper of different heights. When I'm collecting a stack of punch cards, I usually tap the bottom of the paper on the table. Then the holes in papers of different heights will not line up, making it difficult to insert the paper into the binder. The second problem has to do with pushing the paper through the punch. There is no good vertical support for them. Rather, there is a nice sloping ramp that allows the papers to slide up and then into the slot where the stamp connects to the base. (See image.) It is very difficult to hold the paper where it needs to be so that the holes are punched the correct distance from the edge. This problem can be solved with a large stack of paper, but it is completely unacceptable if only 1-6 sheets are punched. The perforator has good sides. It's very easy to press. It's very attractive. The tray fixing the holes can be easily removed for cleaning and will not fall off. It punches holes very cleanly and easily. But due to the inability to get consistent holes that align properly, this shot doesn't suit me.
