Review on Zagg ZAGGkeys Silver Black FOLZKSLV97 by Shalom Germann

Revainrating 3 out of 5

A little about a little about not quite happy

I bought a Solo Zagg keyboard because I thought so , it would be the easiest and most convenient minimalist solution to get a keyboard for my iPad, and in many ways it is. This is a beautiful product that feels satisfactorily well built. I've also heard from others that iPad keyboards are generally not much to type on. For example, almost all are plastic and all have terrible key spacing. Knowing this, I can only judge Zagg Solo based on my experience with it and will not give any credit just because it's the best out there (which it could be). First, let me say that I've made up my mind between this one and the other. Combination with Apple keyboard. I chose this one because it has a built in iPad stand and it has a slim profile. Pros: - Nice keyboard - Decent key travel - Good construction - "Dual Use with Android tablets" Cons: - Plastic, even Apple at the same price is aluminum. The keyboard flexes due to the plastic construction. The stand is designed for thin tablets. The thicker your tablet, the smaller the angle, so it's definitely not for thicker tablets - its "dual use" nature gives it some Android-centric features. I wish there was a function key so you can switch between them. I want brightness buttons - the stand is NOT secure. You cannot use this keyboard stand without touching the iPad. Since the iPad is four times heavier than this keyboard, it tilts, so be careful. In general, the keyboard is good, but still not quite right, still not entirely comfortable. I can imagine my wrists hurt just typing on this thing, so I can only give it 3 stars for that.
