I make custom woodwork and need light to play with when photographing an item to offer for sale. more options for lighting the photoset. Although filters reduce light output, they diffuse the light very well, so I don't get any harsh reflections from my subjects. I also used this yesterday when soldering small electronics on my FPV drones. The extra light always makes soldering easier and I can bring that light up close and focus it on the work. The mines did not come with thicker tripod legs as pictured, just smaller, wire-like legs (also pictured). After initially setting it up, each stand tilted slightly to one side, my OCD couldn't handle it, but simply pressing down on the legs made it a little easier to set up.
