Review on TACTACAM Fish I Fishing Action Camera Camera & Photo by Tory Richardson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not suitable for fishing. Sorry

The short answer is not suitable for fishing. Why: FOV (Field of View) is very small, appears to be 90 degrees. This will skip the action. NO stabilization of any kind. Use as a hat camera or chest mount is very variable. Can be installed on a boat on a calm day. The application is very buggy, most of the time it does not connect to the camera via Wi-Fi. super grainy. I was shocked at how bad 1080p 30FPS is. There's no front LED to record when it's mounted behind you, you can't just turn around and make sure it's recording. The onboard mic is complete rubbish, the worst I've ever used. I'm not kidding, this is really bad. After using Gopro Hero 7 and Osmo Action I can say that the built-in microphone is useless. UPDATE: A strapped dead cat strapped with a lap does better in the wind. The only thing the built-in microphone can be useful for is underwater. That's why almost all of their sample videos are overlaid with annoying music. bright and clouds look washed out even at -1 EV and on cloudy white balance. (See image comparison in comments) EV-2 makes it look like Osmo Action Having tried this I will never post any video taken with it. Remote control. OSMO Action with a $20 mic adapter is light years better, even OSMO Action's built-in audio ruins Fish-I. How can they fix it? Increase 1080p bitrate to match Gopro and Osmo Action. Activate an external microphone somehow, either with a Y-cable to connect USB C or with some kind of adapter. Choose the PRO version with 3.5mm jack and status LED on the front. Fix the color profile so it's not so washed out. Clouds look very bad on a cloudy day. bright and blurry. Insert a 170 degree lens.
