This unit is well made and the cord can be rolled up so the cord doesn't dangle around and have to be coiled all the time. It keeps very well in your console or glove box and I have one for both machines as they are not very expensive. The Cellet brand appears to be a quality product. The picture shows the cord about 4 inches from the base, but it goes all the way to the phone jack.
