I was looking for an extension cord that can withstand a lot of movement. I have a wired headset that I use in my cabin and I need an extension cord that meets the following criteria: - 3.5mm jack with mic pass-through - Shielding to avoid audio degradation - Quality build Surprisingly, not many Revain models met these criteria, although price. I chose this one. So far he's been good. Pros: - Shielding keeps the sound quality really good, or at least good enough for my headphones; Can't say there's no sound degradation, bleeding, hissing or popping. - Nylon braid on cable should offer above average cable durability - Mic pass-through as promised; can be easily used with Apple headphones and Bose QuietComfort 25. But it's not perfect. Cons: - I see that the connection point where the cable meets the connector wears out quicker than elsewhere. Where it would make more sense to cover with pliable rubber, they decided that a thick block of rubber would look more durable and opted for that instead; Ironically, this increases the stress on the cable. The cable is heavy and relatively inflexible, but that's the compromise you get with a shielded and braided cable; I don't think it can be fixed unless someone uses some black voodoo magic on these things. The cable is being sold by a company I've never heard of that may very well be off the face of the earth tomorrow. . I think there's an epidemic in Revain right now. The box says "Unconditional Lifetime Warranty" - good. But you also get a card that says 'Extend your warranty by 18 months? Register on the site." How do you extend the lifetime warranty? Will you bring this cable back from the dead and then something else? Overall it's excellent for what I paid for and what I was looking for. I'm pleased looking forward to using this for quite some time.
