This is a terribly beautiful scarf, but we're talking about personal taste here, so you might want a different colour. It's long and wide enough to serve as a (purely decorative) cloak if you've lent your sister-in-law your black satin cloak and she doesn't return it (what a shock). The colors in this particular scarf are crisp and not muddy at all, and the contrasting piping adds a nice finishing touch. Material thickness is ok; it doesn't seem cheap thin. Wash gently in cold water, don't expect it to last forever and be careful of the piping that may come loose in places as well as the piping.
