Review on 🚨 Wolo 3100-A Amber Lens Beacon Light - 12V, Rotating Emergency Warning Light by James Nedumaran

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Poor quality, weak magnets, dull.

I bought this because I like the old school rotating reflector signal lamps. I like using it because sometimes I have to drive my work truck (slowly) very close to a crowd, many of whom are drunk. I don't need anything terribly bright, and I don't need blinding flashes. That's the opposite of that, and then something else. This is a toy that has some use, but not very much. I wouldn't buy this if you want a serious beacon for a work truck. The magnets are too weak for motorway driving. This is the old black type magnet, not the powerful neodymium magnets used in higher end light sources. Haven't tried a brighter bulb yet (1156 should work), but will soon. I am going to hang this on my little tractor and let it drive as a fun decoration. If it breaks from shaking or melts from a higher wattage lamp, so be it. It won't be the first toy I break, and it won't be the last.

Pros
  • The base has three powerful protected magnets that attach the flashlight to any metal surface.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
