I bought the MZ-R37 earlier this summer. I bought a refurbished model cheaply on Ebay for recording gigs in the summer. This is a great model, durable and very impact resistant. I bought a binaural mic after recording a couple of gigs in cheaper mono and what a difference. An important tip when you start recording on the MZ-R37 is to hold down the record button and make sure the recording starts. I missed a few songs at concerts because the recorder wouldn't turn on. Better to be safe than sorry. Either way, it's also great for recording MP3s from your computer. Just connect your sound card to the line-in and you're good to go. You can also transfer live recordings or band demos to your computer if you have a recordable sound card. Excellent investment. Forget MP3 players, it's too expensive to add storage. MDs are inexpensive and much more durable than CDs with the same sound quality. If you are a music lover I don't know how you could live without them.
