Review on WIMAXIT Raspberry Monitor 1024X600 Raspbian 7", Portable, Touchscreen, M728, HD, HDMI by Ralph Kokenge

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I liked my first one so much that I bought a second one!

This monitor is much larger than I expected. It's only 1024x600 pixels, but that's hard to believe. The OS thinks it's 1080P and I can still prime tiny text so I have no idea what witchcraft that does, but I'll take it! So more info. I'm a big fan of the Raspberry Pi and other SOC boards and wanted something small but not too small. Little did I know I could mount any Pi 3b+ form factor board right on the back and use a couple of adapters to seamlessly interact with the screen, HDMI port and USB for touch control (comes with cables , but this solution is really elegant). . touch works. out of the box with every board and operating system I own and use. The onboard volume and brightness controls are fantastic, and audio from the boards is routed via HDMI to either the onboard speakers or the onboard headphone jack. The included coasters are more durable than I expected and the included rubber pads for attachment are real rubber and stick well to the table. This is a quality device at a great price. The screen is so bright that I have to keep the setting at 50% or less to avoid blindness, but I can see it 100% in the sun. The color is amazing and I still can't figure out how the device sees it as HD, but the specs clearly show it's not. but save $$) on a Raspberry Pi 400 I just bought.
