The yellow is even brighter than I expected! This is perfect because I really wanted the colors to contrast with our dark sofa. The comforter was vacuum packed and when I opened it it had creases that couldn't be smoothed out. The included instructions state that the duvet should be washed and it will fluff up. So, that's exactly what I did. After washing the blanket, all the creases were smoothed out, and the pile of the fabric became very fluffy. It's not what I would call a "heavy" comforter, but it's perfect for pounding away the chill while lounging on the couch. I bought a larger size and can actually wrap it around myself. Very happy with this blanket!
