These "walking" animals are just adorable. One is a cat, the other a dog. They're fairly hardy but covered in soft fur flecked with purple, pink, and blue. Each of them has a leash that attaches to the collar so their young owners can "walk" with them. The dog and cat don't actually walk and their legs don't move, but they have a wheel underneath to roll on. The wheel wobbles as it spins, giving the dog and cat a bouncy look that mimics walking. The child pushes (not pulls) the dog and cat together with the leash, and the animals roll. It's so cute and definitely makes you feel like you're walking a dog and a cat. As each animal moves, it triggers adorable sound effects, like a dog's panting and barking or a cat's meowing. My niece's little girl fell in love with her instantly and we adults were all thrilled to watch her walk, talk to and take care of them. You will make a great gift; If you need a gift for two children, you can even split it into two gifts. Batteries are included, which is always welcome (batteries are only needed for sound effects; toys "walk" on kids who push them, so batteries are needed for sound effects, not just for play). They come out of the box with the batteries already installed. All an adult needs to do is attach the leash to the collar (most children can do this themselves as shown in seller's video). Overall it's adorable and so much fun for the little ones!
