We purchased these magnets as a distraction for my toddler in the kitchen. He often hangs out while I'm doing dishes and needed something to keep him occupied. These magnets fit the bill perfectly! They are easy to pull off and the solid black back makes it easy for him to know which side to stick on the fridge. The animals come in family groupings (i.e. a rooster, a hen, some chicks) and look very nice. As he gets older, he's starting to want to know about the sounds and names of the animals. I see these as being very educational in the future, but for now, he just has a good time with them. They are also enjoyed by our 2 year-old neighbor, who likes to transfer them from the fridge to the dishwasher and back.The facing on these is paper, so if you have an active teether/chewer, they won't hold up. We established early that these were not to be chewed on and took them away as soon as he started. A few times of that and now he just plays with them. So, as long as you're vigilant, they are a great toy for youngsters.
