Only six spoons fit in because the slots are a bit close to the edges of the box. However, it was perfect because I only have six demo spoons. I wanted it to stand on a shelf but I couldn't because the hinges and clasp are not aligned as they are in the picture. I had to remove the clasp to put it on a shelf. A real display case has loops at the top (where the spoon handles are) and a clasp at the bottom (where the spoon bowls are). This is really made to hang on the wall and show off the little spoons. All in all, he did his job for me. and the price was right.
