The price and compromises of this headset are not worth it. The software and installation experience is flawed. Out of the box, I had to reflash the headset for the computer to recognize it. It took several attempts and I had a hard time finding the software to do it. Changing the refresh rate will close Steam VR and you will have to restart everything. Half the time you have to reset your headset or a Windows service to get it recognized again. Reading text is almost impossible. The lack of built-in controllers and tracking base stations means you'll have to spend a lot more to get a usable system. Many games cannot be played at all without the right controllers. The price you pay for FOV is nothing more. But the FOV gets narrower when you need a higher refresh rate, so what's the point? I returned it. I understand that I'm new to VR, but I felt like I was constantly struggling to have a decent experience.
