Review on πŸ”˜ Convenient Kitchen Foldable Silicone Trivets - Expandable Collapsible Solutions by Richard Surveh

leaves marks on wood when placed horizontally

I bought these coasters because I thought that the silicone material is a poor conductor of heat and might tend to be a cool option compared to stainless steel coasters. There are 2 problems here: 1. If you hold a flat hot dish on a stand, it sweats and leaves its imprint on the surface; With wood, this is very noticeable, since the pores of the wood open when it is wet. It took me two tries to lighten the stain with a toothpaste + baking soda mixture and the stain is still there (you can see the photo after the try). When you twist the stand to raise it (so it doesn't sweat), the crease opens up and becomes crooked. It's annoying. I'm going back to old fashioned stainless steel coasters.

Pros
  • Eco-friendly style: compact design, non-slip, foldable cross compact design Expandable silicone dish holder in cute colors
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
