This is the second time I've bought bags of this style and brand and I love them. I agree with some of the other reviewers that they're not that easy to use, but overall they're not bad. 1.) Conclusion: There is a wrong way and a right way to do it. The plastic latch only closes the bag if you slide it in the right direction (towards the end with a loop). If you try otherwise, it won't work. You must also have dry hands. 2.) Leakage: So far I've used my freezer bags to freeze raw chicken, marinated meat, veggies, fruit, bread, and cooked dinners. I've never had a problem with leaks, but I'm also careful not to overstuff my pockets. 3.) Cleaning: Hand wash and air dry. The bags do not get dirty from the marinade and do not absorb odours. What I hate the most is washing new bags for the first time. New packaging is very sticky and opening it fully the first time is a job. But after the first wash they are great and don't cause any problems. I really like her and would recommend her.
