My daughter is below average weight and slightly above average height for her age. So she is thin and tall. She is 5. We ordered a small one. It's so tight at the waist that it really digs in uncomfortably as the elastic flexes very little but drowns it out in length. Terrible sizing. If you're ordering this, maybe order 1-2 sizes up and plan to change the length by lifting the hem.
