Firstly, when I bought it, I was afraid that it would be too wild. Really calming! You can leave it stationary or have it spin at a comfortable slow pace. They can have only white light or only color (Eidin prefers green). Also 2 and 3 colors or 4 if you want! They are mostly steady lights, but there are 2 or 3 alternative lighting options (almost like a Christmas tree). Definitely! The timer goes from 5 minutes to infinity. I came until 4 o'clock. Hence, we use it to relax before bed; I invested an hour. Then we usually put it on for 10 minutes after that and then we go out! Boom! Sometimes I keep it to myself as I've really come to love it when it's my turn to relax. That is very cool. One downside: when you remove the hard cone to let the stars twirl through space, the dome flattens out very easily. let's fix it! So I wouldn't say it's not durable. Tip: I put a pin in one of the stars and pull out the dents. The 3-year-old has already caught it twice and the dog put its big paw on it again. Still spinning haha and can't tell it's been refurbished. Will definitely buy another one if it ever breaks badly.
