Small size fits 33 " waist
I didn't know what size to order for my 33" waist. I measured the length of my best leather belt (43 inches). Then I compared it to the length of the Bison belt in size S (47 inches) and size M. I order a small and it fits perfectly. Although the free end of the strap ends just past my thigh. Velcro secures the free end.
