I got this because sometimes I need two monitors but don't have a fixed setup for a traditional second monitor. This worked great right out of the box, came with a variety of cables, and started straight away. I didn't even need a guide. The only downside is that it messed up my wifi connection. Firstly, once plugged in, my laptop (MacBook Pro) didn't stay connected to Wi-Fi but worked immediately when I unplugged the monitor. I ended up switching to a different Wi-Fi network (bandwidth? frequency? someone probably knows the term), but that's only possible because we bought a fancy router for our house. While I'm glad I have it, overall it does exactly what it's supposed to do as long as it can stay connected to Wi-Fi.
