These are great underpants or thermal underwear. They are fitted, mostly made of cotton, moderately warm and very comfortable. These aren't the pants you need if you're an avid runner or cyclist looking to add an extra layer of protection against the elements. To that end, you should look for more synthetic fibers with better liquid absorption properties. However, these pants are perfect for everyday wear. If you live in an area where the weather drops to freezing point, you can wear them under jeans or work pants and you will be comfortable all day long. They are designed more for moderately cold weather (think 10-30 degrees Fahrenheit, not minus 20 degrees Fahrenheit). I live in New York and the weather hits 10 degrees Fahrenheit about 2-3 times a year. I bought this thermal underwear about 1 year ago but haven't had the chance to wear it until recently. This year the weather was very cold for a while so I immediately bought 3 more pairs. They are value for money, simple, comfortable and an overall quality product.
