Second part - the product is painful for the gums, it whitens the gums and then hurts for a few days. BUT I found a solution. I rub the petroleum jelly into the gums with the A-type tip, tracing the gums where they will be visible. Keep a big smile and don't move, then put the mouthguard on your teeth. Alternating days up and down. Be sure to put petroleum jelly on your gums to help it hold, use a dry cotton swab to wipe all the petroleum jelly off your teeth (I assume it will block the product). Between Vaseline and alternate days I have been able to use the whole box and the results are 100% noticeable. The product works.
