I bought this for my son at the end of August. Skechers have always been the perfect shoe for us because of wide feet and the need for cushioning to support ankles, knees and back while walking. In the last few years I have seen a quality tank and a sturdy tank. First of all, we noticed that the new versions are less wide than the old ones. Well there is no problem. We found a broad style that still fits. Then we noticed that the shoe's upper is so soft that it doesn't support at all. However, if you think this is just for school, that's okay, he's not running a marathon. We then found that with previous pairs, the inner heel lining always wears out and eventually blisters. We hoped this pair wouldn't make it, but it did. It's been about ONE MONTH since he started wearing these 4-5 days a week. Yesterday he showed me his shoes which are FULLY rubber soled from toe to heel! Seriously when he walked the soles slapped like clown shoes smiling at me and I could see down to his heel. I have contacted the seller to see if we can return. For the almost $50 I paid I expected them to last longer than a pair of cheap shoes I bought at the now defunct Payless Shoe Source shoe store.
