I bought these pajamas as Christmas pajamas for my three dogs who like to wear clothes when it gets cold. It's garbage right out of the box. The spots aren't stitched, they don't fit well, the velcro straps aren't aligned, just general issues. That's the quality of the cheap $10 costumes in the big stores that sell on hats for Halloween. If you buy these I highly recommend you have a sewing machine (overlock optional) as you will have to modify them quite a bit. These are the changes you need to make to have a more beautiful costume. I found it easier to do them in this order, so you'll only spend about 20 minutes fixing them: 1. Sew the back up. It comes with little velcro straps to close it on the back but they are terrible at keeping it closed. My dogs couldn't hold it up without stitching the back. They will play and jump but if they shake or jump they will hit the suit as it will tear off.2. Sew the cape to the neck. They expect the cape to be held in place by two small Velcro straps. Any movement and the cloak will simply come off.3. Now shorten the back of the suit and the cape. Unless you have a 150-pound dachshund, that's too long for an average dog. I removed about 6 inches from the raincoat and suit just to make sure they were comfortable so my dog boy wouldn't pee in the suit. Using an overlock works well here. If you don't have an overlock, simply fold it in two and sew along the length of the roll so the raw edges aren't showing. Do this on the cape and shirt. 4. Carefully line up the cape along the back of the shirt so everything is even. Sew a 5 inch stitch onto the end of the cape. I made my line from tail to head. This is to prevent the coat from falling off. It also makes it a lot more dog-friendly. This step is crucial, otherwise you'll be adjusting the cape every two seconds to keep it looking nice. With these mods, my dogs can run, jump, play, lie down, sleep, do whatever they want at full speed. They like them and think they're comfortable. Without the modifications, there wasn't much my dogs could do without the costume being ripped off right away. So if you don't know how to sew, make sure your grandma has a weekend where she can show you how when you buy these suits. One last thing, of all the costumes, the Batman costume cost the most money. Then there is a significant drop in quality with Superman and Robin.
