Pro:Drain PadCon:Drain Plug - look elsewhere. I've spent hours with Revain because none of these drain pads have a clear photo of the top with specific measurements. I have provided photos for this. I decided to give it a try as a previous purchase of a "universal" dish drainer with adapter didn't allow me to use my silicone hair trap. These adapters allow you to adapt a narrower drain to a wider opening, which I don't want. This kit does not come with these adapters. Plus a narrower drain, I think it could drain slower. And the drain fitting fits snugly to the bottom of the tub, where it must ensure a tight fit. There is a slight optical illusion in the tape measure photos as the tape measure is not able to lay flat due to its shape/thickness. and the camera lens is slanted, in addition, the drain has a sloped edge. But I can assume that the inside diameter of the hole in the drain plate is 1-3/4" when viewed from the top, the diameter of the facet at the corner is 1-7/8" to 2". The actual threading I believe is the standard 1-1/2". I don't recommend the screw cap that comes with it. Get something else in its place, especially for #1 below: 1. The drain plug rests on a thin O -Ring.I prefer a thick pad.2.The locking ring on the bottom requires you to leave it permanently with the fairing in the standard install.I removed this and the fork prior to installation.3.If you remove the locking ring and a If you want to use a drain plug there is a chance of losing parts of the plug down the drain due to the poor design If you insist on using a drain plug then either leave it when fitted (default setting) - this requires removing the entire drain plate, if you want to remove it later -or- you can superglue the brass collar in place so it doesn't go down the drain ll, remove the retaining ring and screw the base into the hole in the drain pad. Then you can unscrew the plug whenever you want to clog the drain and screw it back out when you're done. don't go out back then the gutter trim was installed exactly how I wanted it - with brushed pattern alignment. I was forced to uninstall it to clear the putty in the drain and then reinstall it. However, the setup wasn't as level as before and was tighter. Not as perfect as the first time.
